better consolidate new products with ones in the database
Sometimes when adding a popular product you may have found a version of that products page that hasn't been used before - and boxedup will treat this like a new product when in fact its just another user that wants the same product someone else wants
Thanks for the suggestion, and for your comment on this teradome. We definitely see that there's lots of value in consolidation, and we're looking at how the matching can be most effectively done.

allow edit of url
Sometimes the store that carries the product you want sells our or goes out of business. Or maybe you just pasted it in wrong to begin with! Right now, there is no way to change the product link to point somewhere else. So the only thing you can do is delete the product and start over.

let my buddies mark off when they've bought something for me
As teradome says in his comment on this, the functionality is there, and it's the "reserve" link under each item on a list (see http://screencast.com/t/3vYCRruKV ). teradome also makes the point that it's not as obvious as it could be, so we'll look to make it more obvious/prominent. Thanks for the feedback!

Link to live prices which don't get outdated
Find a way to link to the actual prices on the supplier's site so they are a real indication of how much that item costs at that time...

Make birthday details optional
People who register with boxedup specifically to mark an item on my list as reserved are often cautious users of the internet who are reluctant to give out personal details such as birthdate. Is it really neccessary for this to be a compulsary field for registration?

Make a bookmark that opens a new window
Boxedup has never been successful in grabbing the product image from the web page, so I need to go to the web page and grab the URL to the product image. This becomes tedious however since the bookmarklet navigates away from the product page.

Create RSS feeds for individual lists and all friends lists.
That way I can easily monitor additions/changes to my friends lists. I find I don't frequently check other peoples lists.

make "Places I Shop" a user editable page
Add a function to the page where a user can delete stores that were automatically added to the list and add stores on their own including a place for a url and store name.

add either a box or tab to the Facebook app
The way the BoxedUp Facebook app is now makes it useless because there is no way for me to add it as a box or a tab to my profile.

Status: under reviewhi david. you're right. we've basically missed an update that's been made to the facebook platfrom code which has meant that the mechanism that we had in place to add a box to your profile/boxes tab no longer works (this is what it was http://screencast.com/t/Ge3klU8ED7eG). we're going to get that re-instated, and we'll update here when that's done. sorry for the problem

When looking at your wishlist, each product should show all the tags associated with it.
